Our Policies

Hours

• All cakes consultations are made by appointment only
• Appointments can be Tuesday, or Wednesday, between the hours of 8AM and 3PM.  (Exceptions will be considered)
• There is no charge for the first consultation.
• Consultations are allotted a one-hour time period.
• Cake samples will be served (so no snacking before appointment).
• Pictures, books, and magazines are welcome.
• Pickup times of certain cakes will be made at an appointed time.
• Sweet Impressions does not have a retail storefront with regular business hours.

Cake Sizes

·         Bride’s and Groom’s cake sizes are determined by the number of guests expected at the reception.
·         A 2/3 – 1/3 ration is used.  For example:  For a reception of 300 guests, the bride’s cake will serve 200 and the groom’s cake will serve 100.
·         All other cakes will be sized on an individual basis.
·         These numbers are just a guide and can usually be adjusted up or down according to the customer’s wishes.

Pricing

• All cakes are individually priced based on the number of servings.
• For brides and groom’s cake, the basic cost per serving is $4.25.
• For Rolled Fondant, add $.75 per serving.
• Rental fees and security deposits will be included on all silver cake plateaus, mirrors, fountains, etc.
• A $100 non-refundable, non-transferable down payment is required per cake to reserve date.

Note:  No names will be “put on the book” until payment is received.

• This down payment will be credited towards balance.
• Full balance, final count and details are due 4 weeks before wedding date, etc.
• Anything provided by customers, including charms, cake toppers, color samples and pictures should be delivered to Sweet Impressions no later than one week prior to wedding date.
• Other special occasion cakes under $75 can be paid for at the time of pick up/delivery.
• Cakes costing in excess of $75 will require a $50 down payment.
• Ask about our layer cakes in 8”, 10”, 12”, round or ¼, ½ and full sheets.

• Additional costs include, but are not limited to:

-         Fresh Berries

-         Chocolate Dipped or Tuxedo Strawberries

-         Liquors or additional additives

-         Additional flavors/fillings after 1^st flavor per cake

-         Specialty or deluxe fillings

-         Odd Shapes

-         Monograms

-         Bows and ribbon

-         Sugar Flowers

-         Charms (Pulls)

Deliveries

• All brides and groom’s cakes will incur a delivery and set up fee starting at $55 for anywhere in the immediate Baton Rouge area.  There is only one charge if brides and groom’s cakes are both being delivered by Sweet Impressions.
• Deliveries outside the Baton Rouge area will be charged on a per mile basis.

Note:  Starting point will be Central, LA

• Deliveries of all other cakes in the Baton Rouge area will incur a $35 delivery charge.
• Sunday deliveries in the Baton Rouge area will be charged $45 delivery charge.
